Our Transportation Services ensure that the needs of mobility impaired frail, elderly and disabled persons are met by providing them with a persona lized door-to-door service. Thereby improving the quality of life for these individuals who would be unable to access other transportation.

The HSMPC Paratransit Program is personalized door-to-door transportation service offering a shared ride for the elderly (65 years of age and older)( and persons with disabilities who meet eligibility requirements. This is a demand response transportation service which is sensitive to the needs and physical limitations of the elderly and disabled. The program provides ADA modified vehicles and is an enhancement of the current City Ride Program which offers a curb to curb transit service. A three day advance notice is required, and all participants are required to register for the CITYRIDE program. Clients are not eligible if they are currently utilizing or capable of using CITYRIDE, METROACCESS. We ask for a nominal donation of $.50 per one way, although no client is turned away due to an inability to pay.
