At Hollywood Senior Multipurpose Center (HSMPC) more than 6,000 seniors enjoy a variety of recreational and educational programs in a nurturing, enriching environment. There are also support services for those seniors who are homebound or less independent.
Seven congregate meal sites serve hot nutritionally balanced meals at the noon day hour five days a week for seniors who live in the community. The Home Delivered Meals Program delivers nourishing midday meals to those who are not able to leave their homes to come to the dining centers. Computer, yoga and acting classes, health seminars and health screenings and a travel club are among the many activities that are offered. Each fall the center hosts a huge health fair where flu shots and various preventive health screenings are conducted to help seniors stay healthy.
